Job DescriptionWhat you'll do
As an intern, you'll be assigned an engineer as your line manager, so you'll be learning directly from a skilled professional. And all of the projects you do will be in support of a real business need, with a direct link to our products and customers. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas and really make a difference.
Not only will you receive on-the-job training, you?ll also get exposure to project management and develop a host of transferable skills. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, and you'll receive support from a number of different people within the business, all of whom will be committed to helping you to deliver your best. Your placement will be in either our Civil Nuclear or Submarines division.
The Successful ApplicantWhat you'll need
You'll need a 2:1 minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, to include Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Maths, Chemistry or Physics.
Just as importantly, you'll have excellent communication skills and plenty of initiative. Inquisitive and resourceful, you'll always be looking for new ways to make your mark, and you'll be flexible about where you're based.
Due to the nature of this work, we're unable to employ anyone who doesn't have the legal right to live and work in the UK. This role is subject to Full UK Security Clearance and if you have spent more than three months outside of the UK in the last five years (e.g. travelling, working, living), we might not be able to employ you.
